I often tell my friends that 99% of the time, I love the mortgage business. The other 1% of the time…well let's face it—it is a demanding and often stressful line of work. I can truly say that I consider myself very blessed to have found a profession that is both so tremendously challenging and rewarding, and I look forward to the future that lies ahead.
I am also blessed to be associated with Cornerstone where I recently moved after ten years in the mortgage business. Cornerstone Mortgage is a mortgage banker, meaning we process, underwrite and close our loans and our money goes to the closing table. This greatly increases the likelihood of everything happening correctly and on time. Cornerstone has more products and investors than any lender I know in the St. Louis area which gives you more choices and the very best rate.
The relationships that I have formed with clients, business partners and associates are the most important part of my daily business. I have a deep commitment to consistently living up to my word, and giving those relationships the attention and dedication they deserve. My faith in God is very important to me and I try to live my life accordingly.
Outside of the office, I strive to live up to this same commitment with my friends and family, and most of all, my children. I also spend quite a bit of time with my Bernese Mountain Dog', Bosley, and I enjoy travel, Ram's football, Jimmy Buffett and racquetball.
I believe that passion is at the very heart of what it takes to be successful in business and in life. One of my favorite quotes is by Henry David Thoreau:
